Dr. Mikami is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
at Yamaguchi University. He received his BE (1990) and ME (1992) in
Aeronautics, and his DE (1995) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the
University of Tokyo, Japan. He held positions as Research Associate
(1995), Assistant Professor (1996-1998) and Associate Professor
(1998-2009) at Yamaguchi University before assuming his current
position. He was a Visiting Professor at Yale University in 2007.
He is a member of the Combustion Institute, Combustion Society of Japan
(CSJ), the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), the Society of
Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), the Japan Society for Aeronautical
and Space Sciences (JSASS) , the Institute for Liquid Atomization and
Spray Systems-Japan (ILASS-Japan), and the Japan Society of Microgravity
Application (JASMA).
