Handling of Personal Information by Yamaguchi University Alumni Association
The Yamaguchi University Alumni Association will comply with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information and will properly handle the personal information of its members as follows.
- Personal information obtained by the Yamaguchi University Alumni Association will be used for sending invitations and other information from the all-university alumni association, each faculty alumni associations and Yamaguchi University, under the purpose of “to enhance mutual friendship and interaction among members and to contribute to the development of Yamaguchi University”.
- Personal information will NOT be disclosed or provided to a third party other than the Yamaguchi University Alumni Association, faculty and other alumni associations, and Yamaguchi University, unless the consent of the members has been obtained in advance. However, this does not apply in the following cases based on laws and regulations requirement.
- Conditions of disclosure required based on the provisions of laws and regulations
- When it is necessary to protect the person’s life, health, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the person’s consent in person.
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local public entity, or a person entrusted by the authorities to carry out a business stipulated by laws and regulations, and if obtaining the consent of the individual may interfere with the execution of the business concerned.
- Regarding the management of personal information, we will comply with the Personal Information Protection Law, maintain to not to damage the interests of our members and strive to protect personal information.
