Now, following doctor course students, including foregin scientists, are studying with us.

(You can see the scietidfic results of graduated students in here)

Onalenna Kereilwe
Teacher of Botswana University
Studying Neuroendocrinology, and Molecular Biology for Bovine Pituitary.

HIs thesis has discovered that preantral and small antral follicles secret anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) to control gonadotrophin secretion from gonadotrophs. His first part of thesis study discovered the expression of main receptor for AMH, AMH receptor type 2 (AMHR2) in both LH-gonadotrophs and FSH-gonadotrophs of postpubertal heifers to control gonadotrophin secretion. Expression of AMHR2 was detected in anterior pituitaries of postpubertal heifers using RTPCR and western blotting using our original anti-AMHR2 antibody against the extracellular region near the N-terminus of bovine AMHR2. Immunofluorescence microscopy using the same antibody visualised colocalisation of AMHR2 with gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor on the gonadotroph's special regiong of plasma membrane, lipid raft.

Furthermore, his thesis study has discovered the stimualtion effects of AMH on LH and FSH secretion from bovine gonadotroph. Therefore, the preantral and small antral follicles are not silent majority, and they are assiting growth of dominant follicle! His thesis study is further advaning now!!
