The analyzer technology is based on the classical organic analysis Pregl-Dumas technique and has been field-proven by extensive quality assurance testing. High-speed microprocessor control, solid-state components and built-in diagnostics provide assurance of performance and reliability, as do the built-in automatic gas leak detection system and the automatic furnace on/off switch facility. The 2400 Series II offers the user multiple analysis options including Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Sulfur and Oxygen (CHN or CHNS and O2 analysis). The user may choose one or more options to suit the needs of the laboratory. Changeover to different modes of operation just takes a few minutes and the optional Column Switching Accessory (CSA) makes switching between analysis columns used for analytical gas separations as easy as turning a dial. A fully configured system, for example, would be capable of CHN, CHNS and Oxygen analysis. Alternatively, the user could start with the CHN option and simply add the CHNS and/or Oxygen analysis capability as the need arises.
