“Food2project in Yamaguchi Prefecture”
Purpose ~Fusion of tradition and creativity in food culture~
The aim of this project is to strengthen the process from proposal to planning, product development, production and distribution of “Yamaguchi Prefectural branded foodstuffs and food products” through collaboration between agricultural, fisheries and livestock producers, food-related companies, the JA Group Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi Prefectural Industrial Technology Institute, Yamaguchi Prefectural Technology Centre for Agriculture and Forestry and Yamaguchi University.
To this end, I believe it is important to build a network. The relevant parties in Yamaguchi Prefecture will gather at one time to introduce the foodstuffs of each agricultural, fisheries and livestock producer and the products of food processors, while establishing a forum for exchanging opinions and research presentations to share mutual challenges and problems and explore improvement measures, as well as to improve their technologies.
I invite you to join the project and work towards discovering and developing the food culture of our province, with the aim of creating safe, secure and well-loved foodstuffs and food products.

“Fragrance project in Yamaguchi Prefecture”
Purpose
As an improvement to the environment of workplace (Yamaguchi University) environment, we expect the fragrances to refresh discomfort in the rainy season and to make the body temperature cooler in summer and warmer in winter. These attempts to create the fragrances that respond to physiological functions on human, not merely their sensory ones. Furthermore, the fragrances for Yamaguchi City or Yuda-Onsen will be blended and planned for use in public facilities such as JR stations, Yamaguchi Prefectural Government Office and Yamaguchi City Town Hall.
In addition, as a part of the project to develop the area around the Ichinosaka-River, “a hospitality for fragrance” will be piloted for events and festivals in the Fureai Square and focus on community and tourism. The fragrances will attract more visitors and tourists as well as local residents, thereby revitalizing the city center.
Ultimately, the aim of this project is to provide the fragrances that have been preferred, had attachments and have become features by the local residents.
