Tests carried out at the Health Science Center

The tests carried out in the Health checkup are as follows, and different tests are mandatory depending on the faculty and year.

Filling out an interview sheet・・Confirmation of medical history and the history of current conditions. To check if there are any subjective symptoms or problems in your lifestyle.
Height and weight・・To check nutritional condition, how over/under-weight, and sudden increase/loss in body weight.
Vision・・To check for abnormalities such as impaired vision, and to see if corrected vision is adequate.
Hearing・・To check for hearing abnormalities.
Urine・・To check for any protein, glucose, or occult blood in urine, and for diabetes and kidney disease.
Blood pressure・・To check for hypertension or hypotension, and any disease pertaining to hypertension.
Electrocardiogram・・To check for arrhythmia (irregular pulse, abnormal rhythm), and cardiac hypertrophy.
Chest X-ray・・To check for lung diseases like tuberculosis or pneumonia, and abnormalities such as cardiac hypertrophy.
Medical examination・・To check for nutritional, skin, spinal column, heart, lung, mouth etc. abnormalities　 To check for anemia, and abnormalities in the thyroid or lymph glands.
