これまでに、tacrolimusやsteroid、FTY720などの免疫抑制剤のTリンパ球(胸腺)に及ぼす影響や[1-6]、Tリンパ球の細胞内情報伝達、特にT cell receptorを介するco-stimulatory signalの情報伝達機構に関する研究を行ってきた[7-14]。
最近ではGGAがheat shock proteinを誘導し、腎虚血再灌流障害を軽減する可能性があることを確認している。現在、脾臓摘出の腎虚血再灌流障害抑制効果に関する研究が進行中である。
これまでに培養腹膜中皮細胞を用いた腹膜障害機序に関する研究[15]、Interleukin-1 receptor antagonistの遺伝子多型が腹膜透析時の腹膜炎発症に及ぼす影響[16]などを研究してきた。最近、ラット腹膜硬化症モデルの作成[17]を行い、現在このモデルを用いた研究が進行中である。
