Director Katsuyoshi Ito |
Highly advanced medical treatment is provided by 1) radiological approaches such as the image diagnosis, interventional radiology, and radiotherapy, and 2) the medical treatment for malignant tumors of the chest and abdominal regions at the request of all departments.
As the diagnosis division, various imagings (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, angiography) and interpretations of the disorders of the whole organs are performed, and diagnostic reports described by radiologists are sent to each department. The images are interpreted by the radiologists of each special field, and description of the high-quality diagnostic reports are intended.
As the interventional radiology (IVR) division, the following procedures are performed using catheter; arterial infusion therapy and transcatheter arterial embolization for the malignant tumors and arterial bleeding, radiofrequency ablation therapy for a malignant tumor, image-guided biopsy, metallic stent placement for the biliary, tracheal, GI tract stenosis or obstruction, and IVC filter placement and foreign body retrieval.
In addition, not only the radiological and endoscopic diagnosis and medical treatment combined with chemotherapy based on IVR and radiotherapy are performed for thoracoabdominal malignant tumors (mainly lung cancer, esophageal cancer, hepatobiliary tumor).
In this way, please feel free to refer to us anything, because the medical and radiological treatments are being performed by our radiologists with a use of high technology.
