Pathologists are found in large hospitals.
A pathologist has three primary roles. The main role is to deliver a diagnosis based on a specimen placed on a glass plate. In simple terms, the pathologist gives a final determination on what the disease may be. Based on the pathologist’s diagnosis, doctors may then request informed consent from the patient and decide on a suitable treatment. Pathologists are also needed in order to provide state-of-the-art medical care.
